Mobile mechanic or recovery: which do I need?

If the vehicle is in a safe place and the fault sounds fixable on the spot, a mobile mechanic. If it is on a live road, has a fault you cannot name, or has been in an accident, recovery first.

Can a mobile mechanic come to a motorway?

Not to a live lane or a hard shoulder. The vehicle is recovered to a safe place or a garage first.

What if it cannot be fixed on the spot?

The mechanic tells you, and BlackBox Auto recovers the vehicle to a garage of your choice or one in the network.

Mobile mechanics in the BlackBox Auto network

A mobile mechanic fixes what can be fixed where the vehicle stands: batteries, belts, sensors, brakes, starter motors. When the fault needs a lift or parts that are not in the van, BlackBox Auto recovers the vehicle to a garage instead of leaving you waiting.

How it works with BlackBox Auto

You call BlackBox Auto. One number for the breakdown, the accident or the move. Tell us where the vehicle is and what has happened.
We recover or dispatch. Our own trucks recover cars and vans. Where a specialist is the right answer, we arrange one and stay your point of contact.
The partner does the work. Listed partners quote their own work to you before it starts. BlackBox Auto quotes the recovery or transport separately, so you always know who you are paying for what.
